We ate here on a whim, since it was our first night on the island and we did not make reservations anywhere. The location on the beach was great! The bar was packed and there was live music (Sunday evening). We took a peek at the buffet, but took a pass because it looked like it was sitting for a bit since it was after 9pm. I had the grouper, wich was very good and my husband had the mahi-mahi, which was also quite tasty. Our only complaint was that the waitress was not very good. She looked confused most of the time and we had to call her over to reorder drinks, which is a huge pet peeve of mine. Overall, we would eat here again for a quick bite or for lunch.

The seating is great...on the sand or in the open air dining area. Be careful, though, not to go later on nights when the music is cranked up in the bar-great for dancing and kicking back, not so great for families.
I think the servers tried--they were very polite. The food was pretty bad. The Indonesian Buffet is presented literally in the dark and most of the items are greasy and not pleasant to look at. Others at the table ordered from the menu without much better luck--it's the first time in my life I would not eat the onion rings--they seemed to be coated in the same grease as the buffet items and tasted strange. This place would be good if you stick to the bar (get wine or beer-the mixed drinks are mostly juice) and go for the music and dancing. Hope they improve the food because the location is lovely.

Hey all,

I think that moomba beach is the most beautifull place to come to. Right on the beach and the surrounding is just great. About the food thats also good the service is just not perfect. So a point of action for moomba beach. But they are very friendly towards the children and that is nice to see.

We are in Aruba on our Honeymoon in our early 30’s. We just went for dinner there last night, a last minute choice. Unfortunately, it was our worst exp. in a restaurant on the island. If it wasn't for the atmosphere (sitting right on the beach, nice music playing... for most of the night, loud rap music after that) it would have been a total wash! Our server was clueless and the service was super slow ... the food was mediocre ... and the drinks hardly had any booze (I thought having more of them would make the exp. better!). One of the servers did try to make up for the slow service w/ 2 free drinks... not worth it! Might be good for a beer or glass of wine at the bar but that's about it.

Our appetizers and desserts were good, but the entrees were sub-par. Whatever you do, do not order the Napa Lamb Stew. My husband found one piece of meat and the rest was fat and bone chips. He said he would not even feed it to a dog. I had the lamb chops which were overcooked. Definately stick with the seafood entrees. We complained to the waitress, but then had to seek out the manager. When confronting the manager about the lamb stew, he basically said that we were in the wrong and should have said something sooner. He said lamb stew is often served with a lot of fat even though the menu says "tender chunks of lamb". My husband didn't realize until he was through it that there was no meat though. The manager offerred two free glasses of wine at a future date at which we balked. The most infuriating thing is that neither the waitress or manager felt that an unhappy customer mattered. It could be due to the constantly changing clientele. Even though it was a great environment and fun looking bar/resturant, you may only want to have a drink and an appetizer there and move someplace else for dinner.

My cousin, wife & I ate there on several occasions-breakfast, lunch and dinner. Breakfast was probably my least favorite. We had cocktails (Royal Art's) almost daily and the overall service-especially Moriah, Rueben and Jeffrey was fantastic. I can't wait to go back and see these friends we made in a short amount of time.

We had drinks here one night and the breakfast buffet two other days. The atmosphere was very nice and it had a nice setup. The resturant had many wood boardwalks connecting the areas. There was a bar in one cabana, a restaurant in another and tables setup all through-out the area. There was a pool table and air hockey under one cabana, allthough the pool table was missing its cue ball. There were large red couches setup outside the bar cabana, nice setup for hanging out with a group. The all you can eat buffet breakfast was 9.99 and was very good. Nice place and a fun hangout.

TERRIBLE - the whole experience was just horrible. There were about 1,000 flies and the service was the worst I have every experienced - anywhere. Nobody knew what was going on - the food was terrible. One steak was raw and when we questioned the waitress - she stated "well, that's medium so enjoy it". We HATED this place and have told all to avoid it!

We have tried this place twice. The first time, they gave us a table way down on the sand near the water and my wife said, "hey, great idea coming here". The view & atmosphere are very nice. The waitress came & brought beers for my wife and I and soda for the kids. She took our order and brought the kids dinner 15-20 minutes later but never brought ours out. I had to ask another server if she would bring more beer and then I had to go to the outdoor bar for beer another time. About an hour went by and our server did not return to our table so I went to find her. She was embarassed and brought our food about 10 minutes later. Both dinners were cold. Unbelievably, we went back the next year and we were seated right by the bar & loud band. I have no problems with loud bands, but I am here having dinner with my family so it was a bit much. Again, we get drinks and our order is taken but then our server disappears for a VERY long time. I head to the bar for more Balashi and our food arrives a little more on-schedule than last time. I think it's a better place for lunch or late-afternoon happy hour instead of dinner. It's a shame too because the location & atmosphere are top notch.
