We heard that Moomba put on an Indonesian Buffet every Wednesday night prepared by an Indonesian chef, so our expectations were high. In fact it was the worst meal we have had so far. All the meat was black, tough and tasted of salt. Even the noodles and rice were black. I'm not sure why it was so horrible but it might be to do with the fact the chef was cooking in the dark? The only food that was half decent where the spring rolls. The one toilet close to the restaurant was dirty and very small. The beach atmosphere was nice, and the frozen drinks ok (but agree with other writers, not enough booze). We will not be going back and if you go order off the menu, you might have better luck.

Had two lunches at Moomba last week.
It was great to kick back and relax on
the sand, and enjoy the view. Good food.

I just returned from a stay at the Holiday Inn Sunspree. Our first dinner was at Moomba Beach, which is right next to the hotel. We enjoyed the atmosphere and food so much that we ate there another night for dinner and one night just for drinks and dessert. Sitting with your feet in the sand, across from the shore is the best! We ate Mahi Mahi, or the tuna and it was excellent. We did find that the food varied in how it was cooked, probably due to different chefs. The ice cream desserts with fruit was excellent. The drinks were good, but there wasn't enough booze in them. It's my first night back home, and I miss eating at Moomba Beach.

Came her to eat on the beach since we were staying at the Renaissance downtown. This was quite disappointing, it was on a beautiful beach but, there were playing overly loud 70's music, the drinks sucked unless you like fruit and no booze. The bartenders were clueless. We both had chicken wraps which we both had to re-wrap let's call them chicken folds. On the positive side, the fries were good the guac and salsa tolerable. Don't bother unless you just happen to be here and need a bite.

The atmospher is very nice. feels like a tropical bar should be. We had the $30 prix fix. The atmospher is what you pay for. Beach seating available , and was worth the walk from the mARRIOTT. The food was good, but not best meal. That's not what you pay for though. they also have a $10 breakfast buffet. But must get there BEFORE 11am, not at 11. I would go there once if in the area, at least stay for a drink.Lounge on the sand or by the deck/bar. Beach chairs rental also available during daytime

We tried the breakfast buffet which is reasonably priced at $10. But you would be better off paying twice that much and go to the Marriott's breakfast buffet. The service was poor; the food was cold what there was of it; most of the time the buffet dishes sat empty. Hopefully, their other meals are better because this was not good.

One rater called MooMba Beach a jewel -- it is. It's my favorite place in Aruba. Good food, good service at a reasonable price while you sit back and watch the sun set over the ocean. Truely a beautiful place that I long to return to. Our waitress while we were there (last week of July - 1st week of August, 2006)was Liz -- she was wonderful.

I stumbled upon this beachside treasure about halfway through my week's vacation, and had breakfast there my last 4 days. Terrific value! $10 for the buffet, have them make you an omelette the way you like. Sit on the beach or in the covered area, looking out over the Caribbean. What a sight! Spectacular way to kick off your day!

We had a late lunch here...staff was very pleasant and friendly. Drinks were good as was the food. It doesn't get much better than decent food at decent prices right on the beach. If we were staying longer we'd go back for dinner as I imagine it would be gorgeous!
