My husband and I both had meals served on the rocks. It was very good. We sat outside by the pool. It was lit up very nice at night and very romantic. A definate must.

We went here on a Saturday night. We walked in and the atmosphere is wonderful. Very romantic, very elegant. We sat near the pool. For appetizers, we ordered the baked spiced shrimps which were very good and Keshi Yena (Gasparito's makes it better). After waiting 20 minutes for the appetizer, they brought out the wrong one. We had to wait another 20 minutes for the correct one. I ordered the snapper which was very good. My friend ordered the tenderloin with gorgonzola cheese which was very tasty. The only negative was that the service was on the slow side. We arrived at 7:45 and didn't leave until 10:15. I would definitely go back again.

We had a wonderful dinner at this romantic restaurant. They specialize in stone cooking. We had the ceasar salad that comes with your dinner, it was tasty. We both had the shrimp and filet that was was perfect, it was served on stone! The shrimp were large and delicious and the filet was tender. We had the chocolate cake for dessert and it was totally worth the calories. The staff was attentive. We are looking forward to going back next year.

We were disappointed on our second visit to this restaurant. The food was not at all great. The atmosphere is lovely but after our last visit, we will not be returning. There are just too many good places in Aruba to put up with mediocre.

This is a very romantic restaurant. The food is excellent. The service is exceptional. And the environment is very nice. However, I could not shake the dejavu feeling that I've been to other restaurants that looked similar to Papiamento. I also could not get over the fact that I was sitting on plastic chairs that were covered by fine linens.

When I first tasted their "hot sauce", I thought, "How daring!" However, after dining at a local Aruba cafe with a hot sauce that tasted almost identical to the one at Papiamento, I was a bit disappointed.

Great place. Great food and service. The Land and Sea on the "hot rock" was out of this world. One of the best dining experiences in our three years of visits to Aruba. All restaurants should take note. This is the way it is supposed to be.

My husband and I just picked this place because we couldn't get reservations in another restaurant we wanted to try and boy were we happy. When we got there, we got seated right away and our drink orders were taken as well. Shortly after, dinner orders were taken, it was amazing how attentive the staff was. Dinner was wonderful, the smell of all the different spices was aromatic. We enjoyed every bit of our meal. The ambiance was also very romantic. The even had someone walking around and asking if couples wanted their picture taken. This place is a definite must!

Papiamento's Restaurant is a must when visiting Aruba. The atmosphere alone is unbeatable. You can dine inside the historic home or poolside (as we chose to do). Torches, white draped tables and chairs along with white lights wrapped around the palm trees all set the mood for this extremely intimate and romantic atmosphere. The sevice is superb and the food is spectacular and served on hot stone. The Ellis family owns and operates this magnificant restaurant and in fact we were treated like old friends upon meeting them for the first time. Their warmth and hospitality was a gracious welcome and they'll gladly give you a tour of their grounds. This was one of our top picks. Even the bathrooms were decorated with style. Don't miss out on one of Aruba's top dining experiences!!
