Screaming Eagle - taste and the pleasure of dining.

Our Chefs prepare fresh seafood - both locally caught and from around the world - in a modern interpretation. The meats proudly reveal their affinity to French cuisine. Healthy vegan and vegetarian options are a new and growing passion.

Great food screams for great wine to come along. And Screaming Eagle propelled the wine list to the next level, offering various levels of matching options to perfectly pair the food. Our mixologist and sommelier has many more liquid dreams at your disposal.

The whole package is compelling, hence Screaming Eagle was voted best restaurant in the Caribbean by ‘Caribbean Journal’ in 2015! Repeating to make a mark on the Top 50 list ever since, securing a Top 5 slot each following year, adding ‘Caribbean Chef of the Year Award’ in 2017. And striving.

Welcome to deliciousness!

Very bad experience for the 3rd time

Jul 14, 2024 - posted by
I stop going two years ago as I had 2 bad experiences me and my family. The food was horrible to the point we had to come home and order pizza. This past Friday I went there to give it another chance as it’s conveniently next to my condo, and I was thinking maybe it changes let’s try it again. I told the waitress I think her name was Sherline, I want shrimp taco and red snapper but I don’t eat pork. I don’t want any bacon or pork in my food, she said ok they can make it without. I got the shrimp taco I bite into it and it was a big ball of chorizo. I called her she said it comes with chorizo I said I understand and I asked you I don’t eat pork and you told me I can have it without and now each taco has 2 balls of chorizo. She Took it back and changed it to just shrimp without chorizo when she bring me the fish the red snapper. It was overcook hard and it taste very very fishy and the mashed potato that it comes with it. It was very sour like they put old sour milk or cheese on it, I called her. I asked for the check. I didn’t eat my food because it was very bad. She asked me how was everything I said to be honest I don’t like the food. The fish is so fishy and the mashed potato. It’s so sour she took it back and she brought me the check and she told me ma’am I taste your food in the kitchen and it taste good. I said really because it doesn’t taste good to me. I asked her if she did taste the mashed potato she said yes it taste OK I said doesn’t taste too sour to you. She said yes because they mix it with heavy cream I said so they heavy cream probably is old and he got too sour. I’m a chef so I know , I just want my check and I want to leave. She said do you want me to pack it for you to go? I said first of all it taste bad so I don’t wanna pack it to go? second you just said you tasted my food so how you offer to pack it for me after you tasted it ?I said no thanks I paid and left. Never going back. Service food is bad. She ate from my food and want to pack it up for me to take it home. They were 2 waitresses and they are both not good.

Best food on Aruba

This was by far the best dinner we had during our vacation. Everything went seamlessly from reservation to the dinner. The food is very creative and tasty, service very friendly. The wine list is outstanding, I've never seen more choices anywhere around. We will be back.

Best Dinner on Aruba

We had the most amazing dinner at Screaming Eagle Restaurant. The food was outstanding, Pork Belly appetizer fantastic, I never had a dish like the duck with asparagus and duck liver before in my life. The wine list is by far the best in Aruba. Service was great as well, Arminda made our night special.

Amazing Chef, Food, Service & Atmosphere!

Sep 9, 2016 - posted by
My husband and I visit Aruba 2-3 times a year, a week or two at a time. We come to eat at Screaming Eagle at least 2 times a week on each visit. Chef Erwin Husken delights us with his carte blanche each and every time. if you are open to having Chef Erwin choose, this is an absolute MUST to order and allow him to cook for you his very best. He's always inventing new culinary masterpieces and we savor every delectable morsel. The paring of ingredients and flavors he places on one dish are balanced and amazing! Also to mention they are a work of art to the eye. Please friend Screaming Eagle on Facebook and you can see his creative genius. We are returning again this November and you can find us at Screaming Eagle, asking Chef to wow us yet again. Note... in 2016 we have visited and eaten Chef's food twice in March, twice in August and we cannot wait to dine there in November!

Overpriced and Poor Service

The food was okay and definitely not worth what we paid. Our server was not to attentive and didn't check on us enough. I was very disappointed. It was much better the last few times I have been there

Halibut and Creme Brulee mmmmm...

Feb 22, 2015 - posted by
Love, love Screaming Eagle. Went there for my birthday Dec./14 and had another fantastic meal. The Halibut with risotto is amazing (never understood the big deal with risotto until I had this one!) and the crème brulee is so good, my daughter refuses to share one with me and orders her own :) It can be a little pricey, but so worth it if you want a special night out. One of my faves in Aruba.

Lovely place

Went to Screaming Eagle for the 1st time. I had the Escargot appetizer, DW had the Caramelized Thai Shrimp and I had the Herb Encrusted Swordfish. Price was $157.05, which included 2 drinks, 2 glasses of wine, and tip. I thought the drinks & wine were over-priced, but we still enjoyed dining here.

Missed the mark

Oct 21, 2013 - posted by
First let me say that this was our forth trip to Screaming Eagle, and this was the first time they let us down.
I started with the ahi tartare for an appetizer. Wonderful presentation as is to be expected from one of the islands best places, but the taste was lacking. You really had a hard time tasting the tuna with everything that was stacked on top of it. Seems that if you call it ahi tartare you should taste the tuna.
I followed it up with the pan seared Grouper and it was great. My wife had the Halibut and commented that the bed of spinach had a fishy smell. They also must have had a sale on rosemary that week as all the plates had a sprig of rosemary on them.
Worst part was the service. We waited a long time between our appetizer and entree, and the place wasn't even busy.
Bottom line was that it missed the mark. I have rated this restaurant as the best on the island before. Not this time. I follow this restaurant on Facebook and really looked forward to this trip. I'll come back next year and give them another try.
A little more attention to detail puts them back on top, get it together chef.
