Smokey Joe's Island Grill

I had the rack of ribs and my wife ordered Buffalo wings. The ribs were dry rub and not very moist inside. The wings were spicy but over cooked. We've had so much better BBQ but will give them a pass and try again next year.

I ordered the half rack of ribs and my gf ordered the same. We thought they were great with a side order of fries that filled us. Meat was tender with a good barbecue sauce.

We when there tonight a large rat ran across our feet before our meals were served. Food was good from the night before , but this time with the rodent very upsetting

We walked by many times. My daughter actually wanted to try it. We have amazing barbecue at home and I doubted this would compare. A bit of a show to get a table, had a drink at the bar. Did not like the manager. Finally seated. Service was not good waitress was confused as we needed two more drinks filled not three. The ribs were not to good and all exactly the same except sauces thrown on em. They were not freshly grilled itf smoked. The food was no good. We will never go back as this was our worst meal this year. I love real barbecue and cook my own ribs, these were not good. Many better places. This chain of restaurants is not good also tried the Mexican and both were not good.

We have been going to this place for over 15 years. Has always been a highlight of our barbecue dining. The fries, cole slaw and sauce are great. The lest 2 years the baby back ribs have been terrible. Mostly FAT. Very unhappy. They were always the best. Very cheap cut of meat.

Always our first dinner after a long day of traveling to Aruba. Never disappoints and always a delicious, fun time to get us in the Aruba spirit of “One Happy Island”.

Was in a party of 8 on a Saturday night . Waiter was overbooked and slow. Noticed that smaller parties were served faster. Waited over 1 hr for burgers not cooked to our request and cold fries. Also Seemed as if parties that drank more were serviced faster. (Only 2 of us drank) Maybe only my imagination. Never was asked for a 2nd drink while waiting. Thank goodness for the person who continually filled our water. Saw larger tables with other wait staff served faster

Been coming to Smokeys for years. I feel the food quality has remained pretty good. As others have mentioned, I was surprised when at a basically empty restaurant, I was told I could not have a larger (4 person) table for my party of 2. I've eaten at the smaller tables here and it is just too uncomfortable with no room. I was turned away, but after a couple of moments, the seater/manger had a change of heart and seated me on a 4-top as requested. Believe me, I respect their right to want to maximize every seat but when your place is less then 1/2 full, all possible diners should be welcomed! I was also sad to see the 'dinner combo for 2' was gone. Over all, though, the experience was nice, and I will return. I love their slaw and home fries.

There was a couple who sat down before us who got their food way before us and we have been sitting here with empty drink glasses for about 20 minutes now. I know its a busy and a popular place but maybe the service could use a little improvement. We will definitely come back but hopefully with better service!

We make better ribs at home. Soggy coleslaw. Dry mahi mahi. Slow service. We don’t recommend this place.
