Dined at Sole Mare on Dec. 28th based on a friend's recommendation. We had not been here in a few years, as we were disappointed with our last visit.
Not much has changed. We had a reservation, but still had to wait almost 15 minutes to be seated.
Waiters seemed to hustle us through our meal, almost as if management wanted to move as many patrons through the restaurant as possible during the evening.
I ordered the penne with sauce and cheese. I expected this to be somewhat of a "baked ziti" type of entree. When it arrived, it was evident that the sauce and cheese had been added to a bowl of pasta and then thrown into the microwave, as the cheese was all in a gooey mass at the bottom of the bowl. This is unacceptable.
My wife ordered eggplant parmigiana and found it to be nothing special. It didn't take long for us to remember why we hadn't been back here in so long, and why we likely won't eat here on future visits to Aruba.
