Wacky Wahoo's
Just imagine fresh fish caught that morning from the sparkling clear waters off the Aruban coast. Add to that imported Argentine meats, hand selected by the chef. Mix delicately with the herbs, spices and traditional ingredients of the Caribbean and finally combine it all with the knowledge and skill of a European trained chef.

We've been coming to Aruba for the past 15 years and this year (2009) was our first visit to Wacky Wahoo. We met a lovely couple at our hotel and they invited us to join them ~ are we ever glad we did. My husband and I ordered the Pan Fried Wacky Wahoo. Wow! Absolutely fantastic! One of the sides was a plantain which I don't normally enjoy but this was supurb ~ it was soft as a banana and well seasoned with what tasted like cinnamon-sugar. I wish I had the recipe. We will definitely be returning.

I went to Wacky Wahoo twice and experience the same quality and taste in food and service. This place knows how to prepare tasty fish. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience. As the other reviews mentioned, it is small and you will need a reservation and it can be quite noisy with large groups, but overall, it will be a very memorable meal and you will want to go back there. Tip, you can also order take-away food. They could not get me in one night, so I ask if I can order out and they were very accommodating.

My wife and children discovered this place last winter and loved it. We had dinner there several times over xmas week. The best fresh fish in all Aruba. We sampled the Wahoo and Kingfish. Without a doubt the best black bean soup ever! Great atmosphere and very hospitable servers.

Went to WW three times on recent trip. The food was excellent and the service good on two occasions. The ceviche is the best on the island, the garlic bread always hot and delicious, the black bean soup unique and fantastic. The fresh fish blackboard always offers great value and fresh selection. This place is as popular with Arubans as tourists for good reason.

A great restaurant for fresh fish! It is very small, so make a reservation to avoid disappointment. Service is very good; but because it is small, it can be noisy, especially if there is a large group.

Highly recommend this restaurant if you want fish that melts in your mouth!!

I have to say this is the best place on the island. We went here the 3rd night on the island. We walked in and the place was quite busy and we did not have reservations. We luckily were seated quickly. My wife does not eat fish or seafood and I convinced her to try the grouper. She ate the whole meal!
I had the wahoo special and absolutely loved it. We splurged and got the brownie desert and a cappuccino. Needless to say it was perfect! If you want a gourmet dinner this is the place to go. Just be sure to make reservations!!!!!

I totally loved Wacky Wahoo. Not because it was the most elegant restaurant we went to, but because it was the most fun. We made reservation as we heard it was on the smaller side and were glad we did. It filled right up and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. The interior was pure Caribbean from the décor to the place settings. Seafood is the specialty and they know how to prepare it! I had the grouper Aruban style which means pan fired and my husband had the whole snapper again pan fried. Both of us were really happy with our meal and give this place 2 thumbs up!

Heard a lot obout Wacy Wahoo's before venturing there. A bit tough to find but well worth it. Resrvations needed! If you're looking for a quiet, candlelit romantic place don't go there. The emphasis is on QUALITY seafood. My Wahoo special was terrific. The place was jamming, crowded and noisy ... but in a way, exciting! My only complaint was that we had to wait 10 minutes for an initial drink order and another 10 minutes after the bill was presented for my card to be picked up. Probably understaffed on a Wed. night. A seafood lover's must dine spot!

Wacky Wahoo was excellent as usual in late September. We each had a glass of wine. Sandy had the fish soup and I had the black bean soup. They were large bowls, very good, very filling.

We both had the "catch of the day" (amberjack)...prepared Aruban-style. It was very tasty and the ample portion size meant that we took some of it back to our timeshare for another meal.

No room for dessert!
