Wacky Wahoo's
Just imagine fresh fish caught that morning from the sparkling clear waters off the Aruban coast. Add to that imported Argentine meats, hand selected by the chef. Mix delicately with the herbs, spices and traditional ingredients of the Caribbean and finally combine it all with the knowledge and skill of a European trained chef.

This was our second trip to Wacky's. We had gone a year ago, and wanted to go again.
We were very happy with our meals. The seafood was delicious. My husband and I had the Grouper, and my daughter and her boyfriend had te mahi. It is offerd three different ways, and is so wonderful. We loved the "Arubian style" pan fried. The fish was superb.Wonderful sides, great salad. The prices are very reasonable in comparison to other restaurnats on the island.
The place is small, and seats are limited, so make a reservation early in the week. I acutally wished I could have made reservations from home as I do all my dinners, but was not able to? Anyhow, go to Wackys, so good!

Very small restaurant - pretty noisy. Limited wine list and dessert menu. That being said, the food was fantastic - somewhat limited menu, but everything was great, including the fettuccine alfredo, the wahoo special and the pasta with shrimp.

Love this place once again. It's very small so it's one of the only restaurants we always make reservations. The food is always perfect and consistent year after year. The portions and prices are well in tune with each other. Service is quick and the staff knowlegable about the menu/specials. It's always crowded and thus, a little loud. We wish they had outside seating, but that's our only negetive about this place.

Good place to get a good meal that is not overpriced.

Very small place that can seem a little cramped. We were there on a relatively slow night but felt a little boxed in sitting in the corner. I think they just try to maximize the seating area, but would be tough to navigate through if it was full.

The food was very good with generous portions as we were too full to eat everything. We had soup to start they are very large servings of soup, we easily could have shared one, as we did not finish them in order to enjoy the main course. I had the fish soup that was ok and my wife had the black bean soup that was fantastic, make sure you try it!

The service was good but a little awkward at times. I think this was due to their concern that the meal is to your liking. My wife had a seafood medley and she tried scallops for the first time and did not like them. I think that concerned the waiter as it seemed she was not pleased. At one point he was leaning on the wall behind her looking over the shoulder for a few seconds that was awkward. He also filled up here water glass with a mere drop of water when she didn't need it and the whole time looking at her plate.

If you are a beer lover, try the "large" beer as I did, definitely large and great price.

I would go back to enjoy some seafood at a good price

We loved the original Hadicurari for fresh local fish and were delighted to hear that Wacky Wahoo's was the "successor". Last year we couldn't figure out where it was but we looked for it early in our trip this year. Our party was 4 adults and a 10-month old baby. As we arrived there were two parties already eating and a couple just being seated, for whom they were joining two two-seat tables so they were using 4 seats. There was a 6-seater vacant plus at least two 4-seat and two 2-seat (I think there were a few more but I didn't specifically count). They had a reservation for the 6 and wanted to put us at a 4 but with the baby we needed 5 spaces. We have a baby seat that hooks onto the table allowing the baby to be close to us. They would not put two of the 4's together for us because "what if someone else comes and we don't have room for them". They weren't the least apologetic that they couldn't serve us. We simply could not understand how business in the door now could trump possible business at some undefined later time. We left and won't return as the customer-unfriendly attitude turned us completely off.

If you like fresh fish, it does not get any better than this. I had the wahoo baked and it was simply delicious and tender. Mom had the red snapper special Aruban style and it was flaky and sweet. Dad had the sampler which had mahi mahi, scallops, calamari, shrimp and mussels. Do not miss the seafood soup that is cream based with fennel. The fish soup is good, but could have used more flavor. Was disappointed with the pecan cake. The cake part was dry. Try the Captain Morgans coconut flan instead, we scraped that plate clean.

All I can say is WOW! Our fishing boat captain, Levino, suggested we try this restaurant because it has the freshest fish on the island. He was right, and the meal was the best one we've had on the island in the 3 years we've been coming here. I got the wahoo fettuccine alfredo & my hubby got the daily special of wahoo, shrimp, and scallops on a bed of fantastic rice. They were truly masterpieces! We have a new favorite place!
