Que Pasa? - Restaurant - Bar & Art Gallery
Que Pasa Restaurant & Winebar has been a culinary institute since 1992. The restaurant is located in a historical merchant house in downtown Oranjestad, and its menu features a tasty variety of international specials, as well as freshly made sushi from their Dragonfly sushi station. Chef Michelle and her team go out of their way to make every night a culinary experience. The in-house wine connoisseur happily assists you in pairing the perfect wine with your dinner choice. At Que Pasa you will feel welcome and have a great time for sure. The friendly staff will serve you with a smile. And the food experience will keep you talking about it, even long after your visit.

Always phenomenal!

This is our favorite restaurant in Aruba! Highly recommend ordering from the blackboard or the tenderloin. The carpaccio is the best. We sit at the bar, talk to Marvin, and enjoy one of the best nights of each year at Que Pasa.

Though a little off of the beaten path, Que Pasa is a must-try for visitors to Aruba. I can't say enough about the service staff of the restaurant. For the past 12 years my wife and I have been going there, and the service has consistently be outstanding. We also love the art...not just that on the walls but also on the plates. They do a wonderful job of combining traditional island seafood and Dutch richness. We can't wait to come back next year!

Great time

We loved this place. Kid friendly, had toys for my 2 and 4 year old. Good food, I ordered the veggie lasagna and my wife ordered the seafood special. Desserts were so-so, the banana fritters were too thick and the white chocolate cheesecake was nothing special. The tomato soup was amazing. Very nice ambience. Highly recommend. Just watch out for the neighboring parking lot - the first entrance is really an exit and has spokes toavoid re-entry. No warning signs either. Make sure you look on the ground before entering the parking lot.

Consistently wonderful!

We've been customers of Que Pasa for over 15 years and always make it our first stop with several visits back when we are in Aruba for two or more weeks. What separates Que Pasa from many of the other restaurants is its daily menu of specials which supplements a really solid menu of traditional favorites. You could eat at Que Pasa each night for a week and never repeat a meal. Each item is prepared with care, is of a high quality and served by a young and energetic team of wait staff. The owners have been at it for years, having established other popular restaurants in Aruba (Marandi and Yemanja for example), and are very much involved in day-to-day operations. This has made the real difference. The quality is always there and not hit-or-miss.

We've been priviledged over the years to have met many wonderful staff there, and have shared many dinners with friends and family. The most recent restaurant manager, Roy, has just been great!. Friendly and welcoming, he ensures that all is going well - a real nice guy too. Marvin, one of the owners and a mainstay behind the bar, knows the restaurant business very well and ensures that all his staff are committed to making their guests happy. He could run courses in how he does it - we're amazed at how even with new faces to replace departing staff over the years, the new crew is just as wonderful as the people they've replaced.

Que Pasa can really be a lot of fun too. The bar is often lively and when the upstairs al fresco part of the restaurant upstairs is open, with the breezes blowing and the brightly colored festive design, a very pleasant experience. The restaurant is also an art gallery and we've brought several pieces back to NYC - most of them nicely whimsical and serve as a remembrance of all the good times we've had there.

As for the food we can't say enough, we have tried and loved so many meals it's difficult to pick just one. We usually order appetizers, entrees and desserts and can't believe the variety of choices and freshness of ideas we've been lucky enough to sample over the years. Kudos to the Chef and kitchen staff. If this restaurant were in NYC, we wouldn't be able to get in and we'd also be much more conscious of our weight! (Well mine anyway!!)

Can't say enough about it as you can see. We both feel this way about Que Pasa. If you're on Aruba and staying in the hotel and timeshare areas, take a short cab ride to Oranjestad and enjoy this great restaurant.

Great dinner!

Great dinner tonight at Que Pasa?! We started with the bread---so good, but if we ordered more we couldn't have finished dinner! Then apps were Shrimp Tempura with mango sauce and the soup of the day, Potato Leek. Both were delicious! Entrees were Beef and Reef and Chicken Schnitzel with mushroom sauce. Garlic mashed potatoes were served with both. Food was just exceptional! Highly recommend Que Pasa? Servers were attentive without hovering. No complaints about any part of our meal!
